Kota Bandung, Indonesia

Bandung

On the 21st March, 2014; we went to Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, for a 4 days 3 nights stay.
"It was awesome" is an understatement. I can list out all the relevant verbs from thesaurus but it will still not do any justice.
4 days 3 nights is a short duration stay but it is enough to cover up some of the hotspots there.

We flew Airasia to and fro. It was a nice flight overall.

It was a two hour journey if I'm not mistaken. Not good with numbers. We were greeted by two chauffeured cars upon our arrival at Bandung International Airport (Husein Sastranegara). A small but considerable airport.

HOTEL CALIFORNIA

We arrived and checked in at our hotel; Hotel California Bandung. A nice and doable luxe hotel. The room is truly amazing. From the staffs to the service to the snacks-that-you-have-to-pay-when-you-eat-but-we-finished-it-all-anyways to the beautiful finished interiors. The hotel has an attached cafe (Brown Sugar) and their dishes are absolutely delectable. Oh, the hotel is surrounded with strong wifi signal. Blessed.

TANGKUBAN PERAHU

Tangkuban Parahu is a dormant volcano which erupted about 30 times in the previous 40,750 years. So the odd of you getting buried in volcanic lava is fairly slim.

It is really weird cause there is some hot spring going on down there but the overall surrounding is extremely cold, like A/C cold. You can clearly see the smog down the crater. It's truly awe-inspiring and breathtaking.

Entrance fee: Rp 50 000 per person + Rp 15 000 per car

 KAWAH PUTIH

"Kawah Putih is a sizeable highly acid lake (pH 0.5-1.3) which changes colour from bluish to whitish green, or brown, depending on the concentration of sulfur and the temperature or the oxidation state.[4] The sand and rocks surrounding the lake have been also leached into whitish colours through interaction with the acidic lake waters (with possible mineral precipitation as well)."

So basically, it;s a highly acidic green colour lake. The smell of the atmosphere gets pretty tense and chokingly unbreathable. It's not cold, if you're wondering.

Entrance fee: Rp 43 000 per person + 6 000 per car

 SARI ATER HOT SPRING

Sari Ater hot spring is basically a recreational area that encompasses a hot spring pool, flying fox, hot spring waterfall and etc.
You can soak your feet or, if you wish to, your whole body into the hot spring water. Though it feels like you're being boiled in a chicken soup, it is really worth it plus healthy too.

PATENGAN LAKE

I forgot the name of the lake but I Googled and this is the only non-green lake I found. So it must be it.
We rode on a small boat and ventured out into the open lake.
It is really nerve wrecking cause we did not have any life vests on and the boat is not that stable. But the view, atmosphere and thrill pays it all.

FOOD!!

The dishes here are extremely delectable and heavenly!
Go for their traditional dish. Each one of them are the best!

SELFIES!

So much love for all of them!
