Being Muslim and Gay

Accepting differences.

We live in a country where every one deserves right and equality.

We live in Singapore, a country with various colours, beliefs, lifestyles and political ideologies.

If we can live peacefully with these and accept all our differences, why cant we accept different sexes?

Living with the LGBTs.

We live with Malays, Chinese, Indians, Eurasians, Pilipinas, PRCs, FTs, etc.
We live with the Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Atheist and Jew community.
We live with citizens who supports PAP, DPA, WP, SPP and SDP's ruling.

So why can't we live with the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders?

Ignorance + Stereotype.

"Well if there's no gays roaming around the street, our child wouldn't get influenced by their unruly behaviour."

As much as we try to educate our youngsters, they seem to stray further away.
From smoking, unsafe sex, drugs, bullying, stealing, vandalising. It doesnt stop there.

Why the hate?

Do they take your taxes? Do they ask for your money? Do they terrorised malls, places of worships? Do they kill innocent people? Do they take your job oppurtunities? Do they get special treatment? Do they not have to pay tax, loans, erp, gst?

So what, what is it that makes you so mad and angry with them.

To the Muslims & Christians.

I know how both The Holy Books condemns the gays and homesexuals;
but instead of organising an event to wear white or spend time with your family.
Why not have an event to educate this people?

Why not gather these people, listen to their stories, understand their side, and love them like how you love your own kind.
Why not educate this people through love, passion and involvement? Why must you educate them through an event where you dress in white.

Both The Holy Books mentioned love, passion, giving, respect and care.
To respect each other.
To not condemn or judge anyone,
To lead the astrays to the right path through passion and love.

To Muslims.

We do not like a single bit when the government thought of banning the wearing of hijab in professional work place.

We tweet, we shout, we protest, we show anger and displeasure.
Why?
Because they are TAKING AWAY OUR RIGHTS AS A MUSLIM,
they are TAKING AWAY OUR LADY'S RIGHTS TO WEAR HIJAB.

Protect your religion & beliefs.

I am NOT trying to say you should accept them fully or stop standing up for your religion and beliefs.

Yes we should PROTECT OUR RELIGION. And yes we have to PROTECT OUR BELIEFS.

But STOP SPREADING HATRED. Get involved. Educate them. Lead them back to the right path. Do it in a different manner.

If they think they deserve their rights.
LET IT BE. Ignore their existence if you wish, but DO NOT take away their rights and freedom.

If they go to hell, it's their fault. We did our part, Insyallah Allah will bless us with good deed.

Final note.

I'M JUST VOICING OUT MY THOUGHTS.
DON'T HATE ME.

I am not in any side.
I believe in equality.
Be it for humans or animals
Muslim or Jew
Women or men
Straight or gay
Poor or rich
Disabled or abled
I stand for them all.
